Meet Rich!

Born and raised in the UK, in Wales close to the Gower Peninsular and the Brecon Beacons national park and spoilt with riches of nature on his doorstep, led Rich to have a love of the outdoors.

Lucky enough to have travelled extensively for work, a love of travel grew in his personal life. Always excited to discover the amazing things that Canada and the US have to offer, as well as having traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Though tough to choose, Rich's favorite country that he worked in was probably Bahrain, and the favorite place to visit is tough to choose, but he has a lot of attachment to Hong Kong as it is where Rich and his wife and went on their first date, and then eventually got married there!

Among his favorite memories of travel are flying on a BlackHawk helicopter over Kabul and through the Hindu Kush mountains, visiting Baghdad, watching the first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix hosted in Bahrain, touring the Acropolis in Greece, and closer to home taking a road trip from Winnipeg to Kingston, ON through the amazing scenery around Lake Superior.

As a family-orientated person Rich loves nothing more than trips to the lake, family meals out, or movie nights on the weekend.

With a love of reading from an early age (much influenced by his mum who was a librarian), most of his bookshelves at home are adorned with leadership or history books, although he works hard to insert a little more fiction into the reading list! The leadership book that has had the largest influence on Rich  is "Extreme Ownership" by Jocko Willink & Leif Babin. Rich's favourite non-leadership book is "Eastern Approaches" by Fitzroy Maclean.

Running is the first activity undertaken most days, and while his feelings for running run from dislike to detest, he does it as the starting task for the day to ground himself and set out a winning start to the day.

As a  lifelong fan of West Ham United FC! Rich spends most of the football season watching West Ham lose every week on the weekends.

He has a passion (obsession) for classic Adidas trainers, which line some of the shelves in his home office! The most prized pair being a bright orange pair of customer "Only Fools & Horses" trainers - not for wearing, only for display!

Rich believes that a good sense of humour, and an ability to laugh at ourselves plays a huge role in having a happy life, and enriching the lives of those around us.
